So yeah…Biden had an op ed published in his name in January.
Cool.
Here’s a piece from the Wall Street Journal that was published following the Democrats Convention…(you remember that dark gloomy exercise in America hatred don’t you!)
Headline…" The Left’s Covid Memory Hole…Contrary to what Joe Biden says now, he and his team badly misjudged Covid-19." The Left’s Covid Memory Hole - WSJ
The first two paragraphs…"Last week’s Democratic convention sought to make four points: Joe Biden is a decent man, Donald Trump is horrible, the president bungled the pandemic and Mr. Biden would have handled it better because he grasped the threat from the start.
Whatever you think of the first three, the last is a fabrication. But the former vice president likes to say it anyway. In June he claimed President Trump “did not listen to guys like me back in January saying we have a problem, a pandemic is on the way.” In May Mr. Biden said, “If he had listened to me and others and acted just one week earlier to deal with this virus, there’d be 36,000 fewer people dead.” The early comments of Mr. Biden and his advisers, however, show little evidence he was on top of anything."
The Wall Street Journal piece then breaks down Biden’s 773 word Op Ed from January. “He spent 292 words defending the handling of the 2014 Ebola outbreak in Africa, 268 decrying Mr. Trump’s leadership style and 74 suggesting America faced “the possibility of a pandemic.” He devoted only 140 words to what he would do about it: ask Congress in 2021 to beef up the Public Health Emergency Fund, amend existing law to allow presidents to declare pandemic emergencies, and fully fund the Global Health Security Agenda. Mr. Biden also said he’d renew funding this past spring for hospitals that “treat people with infectious diseases,” a program Congress always reauthorizes.”
So really this whole Joe Biden whatever it was was more about attacking Trump and defending something that happened 6 years ago than anything else. In a piece in the Washington Post Glenn Kessler wrote " Sometimes he cites a Jan. 27 opinion article he published in USA Today, titled “Trump is worst possible leader to deal with coronavirus outbreak.” The op-ed appeared only days after the Chinese government shut down the city of Wuhan in an effort to stem the crisis. But the article itself was more of an attack on President Trump and a recollection of Obama administration steps taken against the 2014 Ebola outbreak than a detailed plan for action against a possible pandemic." https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/04/16/bidens-sometimes-fuzzy-concept-time/
Later in that piece Kessler calls out Biden for claiming he called for the use of the Defense Production Act back in January. " The reality: The earliest we can find that Biden called for invoking the DPA was March 18, in a news release: “Prioritize and immediately increase domestic production of any critical medical equipment required to respond to this crisis — such as the production of ventilators and associated training to operate — by invoking the Defense Production Act, delegating authority to HHS and FEMA.”…Biden’s statement came just minutes after Trump first said he would invoke the DPA."
It’s really not that hard to show that Biden’s been alot of talk…Pretty much a description of his 47 years in government, but that his “plans” are nothing more than a rehashing of what Trump has already done.
Just another good story from the guy who lied about not knowing his kids business, lied about fracking, has made some comments that if Trump had used anything close to the same words leftists would all be howling about racism, refused to condemn all of the rioting and looting…
I used to think he was just kind of a goofy old harmless gaffe machine. Now it seems pretty obvious he’s a bizarre combination of corruption, selling out our country to enrich his family, lying and double speak, wishy washy politics (he’s sold out to the Sanders AOC Socialists), all wrapped up in a senile little bundle more suited to shouting “Get off my lawn” than managing the government of the United States of America.
