That is a very good question.

A lot of people want to know.

But Mayor Adam’s just fired the person who was going through the complaints against corrections officers because the NYPD is the new mob.

Sitting in jail for months before being formally charged with a crime? That makes sense?

And it clearly doesn’t because when they finally get a formal arraignment they get ROR’d and released immediately.

The ten thousand cash or bond when you first get arrested is just whatever everyone gets if the judge doesn’t like their looks.

They have a right to a public defender as well.

Innocent until proven guilty.

Right?

You must have gave your parents fits, yet I think you turned out pretty good.

Tommy, did I see a post that your getting married soon?

Yo what is up with your boy. Why does he talk like he just escaped from a mental asylum.

They do.

Pre trial detention for non violent offenders makes little sense in a lot of cases.

Dunno man.

Maybe Curtis Swila was the better pick.

Who uses a wooden spoon? You gave your own personal situation as an example which is an extreme.

A spanking in the right circumstance (not a beating) are two different things.

Andrew Yang might have been a better pick and he literally has no policies or politics.

Committing a crime and being free for months to commit more is what does not make sense.

Like almost every Catholic family in America ever?

Oh so you should be able to be held for months because the government thinks that you might do something bad hypothetically in the future? You support that?

So, violence is now the lowest bar?

Good grief!

Good to know.

They aren’t yet criminals…

We have been talking about non violent offenders this entire thread.

Folks are arrested for doing something bad. Ya know, if they aren’t caught red handed there is usually an investigation that leads to an arrest.

You must be thinking of first offenders in an iffy situation.

I could ask you what is the issue with a flat tax.
