I doubt you’d be paying for my health insurance because I am middle class… but no, much like funding for Medicare and ER visits for those who can’t pay, you can’t opt out short of not receiving income or living in another country, like with other income taxes.
Single payer means there wouldn’t be private health insurance that covers the same things the gov plan offers… but that doesn’t necessarily mean there can’t be private insurance for other coverage. Really comes down to the laws and how the single-payer system is crafted.
Under your “single payer” system of health care, you assert that the American People not free to decide whether or not to participate in it.
In another breath you assert the American People are free to make their own decisions and choices regarding the healthcare needs.
Which is it? Clarity does not seem to be your friend.

Our domestic and socialist revolutionaries, which now control the Democrat Party Leadership, want elderly American citizens, who paid into Medicare all their lives, to surrender and share their Medicare Trust fund with millions of foreigners who have invaded America’s borders. LINK
They are free to make their own decisions and choices regarding their healthcare needs… they just aren’t free to not pay into the public system. If they want to forgo receiving healthcare, they are free to do so.
It appears that under fallenturtle’s single payer healthcare system, the force of federal taxation is used to finance it. But the particulars of how the power of federal taxation is used, e.g., is there an equal per capita tax to be levied directly upon every able bodied citizen to raise revenue to finance the system, or an arbitrary type of tax on individuals, is unclear. What seems to be clear is that people are not free to participate or reject the “single payer” healthcare scheme and as such the American people become a slave and bondsman to folks in government who have cooked up this “single payer” system.

You bet Joe Biden will win. Every rat will find their way to the voting booth to get their piece of “free government cheese”.
So, in fact, the American people, under the “single payer” system, are not free to make their own decisions and choices regarding their healthcare needs.
Tell me, is every able bodied person required to contribute an equal share to fund your “public system”?

The Democrat Party’s Revolutionary Leadership, detests people being left free to mutually agree in their contracts and associations.
It’s not my system. I am discussing what single-payer healthcare is in its most simple basic form.
Do the particulars need to differ from what we current do to finance Medicare or ER visits for those who can’t pay, or any of the other myriad of social welfare programs we have? You seem to want to change a discussion on what single-payer is to a discussion on the constitutionality of taxation for such services, a discussion we’ve had previously which ended in stalemate because of a fundamental disagreement over whether or not such a discussion should be couched in what is vs what you believe should be in regards to Supreme Court decisions. In other words I make my statements and opinions based on the status quo and not an alternative reality where the SC struck down the myriad of cases that have brought us to our modern system of welfare funded by progressive taxation.
Your constant hyperbole makes it such a PITA to talk to you.
You bet Joe Biden will win. Every rat will find their way to the voting booth to get their piece of “free government cheese”, just as they did in Venezuela, and now suffer the deadly consequences of their actions.
Your single payer healthcare system is nothing but an immoral scheme to use the force of federal taxation to get one group of people to not only finance their own healthcare needs, but to also finance the healthcare needs of others, and that even includes the able bodied who are too lazy to work to pay for their own healthcare needs.

When it comes to healthcare, our communist/socialist democrat revolutionary leaders have no moral compass whatsoever. They refuse to make the distinction between CHARITABLE GIVING and tax tyranny to support the healthcare needs of millions of foreign nationals who have invaded America’s borders.
Your healthcare system is nothing but an immoral scheme to make sure only the well off can afford to get medical care and doesn’t give a ■■■■ about the lives you feel are unworthy of healthcare because you deem them lazy.
I have no idea what you are talking about when you assert “Your healthcare system is nothing but an immoral scheme” .
With respect to our federal Constitution, there is no provision allowing a federally controlled healthcare system. Our federal Constitution has defined and limited grants of power, and was summarized as follows in Federalist No. 45:
“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected.
The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.
What is immoral about reserving to the States, respectively, or to the people, all powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution?
JWK
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States, respectively, or to the people.___ Tenth Amendment
In a modern wealthy nation, such as our own, all citizens and documented immigrants should have access to quality healthcare without regard to ability to pay. To do otherwise is immoral.
My question, in response to your assertion that “Your healthcare system is nothing but an immoral scheme” . was:
What is immoral about reserving to the States, respectively, or to the people, all powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution?

No. The question was not answered. What were you talking about when you asserted: “Your healthcare system is nothing but an immoral scheme” . What “healthcare system”?

I have never authored or proposed a “healthcare system”. So, What were you talking about when you asserted: “Your healthcare system is nothing but an immoral scheme” . What “healthcare system”?
