Biden makes it official with a "Disinformation Governance Board"

They’ll just pass this over to the NSA and partner up with Google. Every Democrat is utterly salivating over China’s social credit system that Google helped build.

Yes…

Pretty hilarious that your misinformation board got canceled, according to the govt, by misinformation I mean, that’s golden.

What you mean to say is that they are willing to give up your free speech, not theirs.

You are in no position to guarantee that.

Why do you defend a “tempest in a teapot”? If it’s nothing, why do you not ignore it?

That is the rhetoric that sets off the baloney meter every time.

Are you gaslighting?

Look at the claims being made in this thread. Censorship, social credit scores, destroying of political enemies, etc.

Ya’ll are having a jolly time scaring yourselves with this persecution porn, and I maintain it’s fact checking and nothing more.

Yet here you are, defending in post after post. Is it the purview of government to “fact check” social media? The news? Anything on the internet?

Government has a monopoly on power. There are no checks…

Who is going to “fact check” government?

I maintain that it is going to be a clearinghouse for fact checking, and all that you are doing is doom casting.

Should any of these dire things come to pass, be sure to let me know, and I will be happy to re-evaluate my position.

If you honestly can’t answer this for yourself, I can’t help you.

So we have Psaki outright admitting to flagging people and posts for social media companies to ban and you still maintain this? lol

Flagging posts or issuing statements is not “censorship”.

And, as ever, there is no right to post on social media. It is a privilege; a privelege that one can access if one conforms to ToS.

You can’t be serious, when it is directed by the government it’s censorship.
