I see, you admit Trump and the Republicans screwed up and you want the Democrats to fix it. Got it.

Psst, Republicans offered to make the personal tax cuts permanent, even put forth a bill to do so. Guess who opposed it and didnât vote for it? Oh and SALT middle class? Too funny it helps like over 90% rich people.
from The SALT tax deduction is a handout to the rich. It should be eliminated not expanded | Brookings
Lifting the cap on the SALT deduction would massively favor the rich, with most of the benefit going to the top one percent
Lifting the cap would in fact give almost three times as much, as a share of the cut, to the top one percent as the TCJA cuts did as a whole (of course the absolute amount is very much less)
Even with the cap, the SALT deduction remains pro-rich, with around three-quarters of the benefit going to families in the top fifth of the income distribution

SALT helps middle class people in jersey. Itâs also helps the rich.
The poor. Nope.

Yep. Likely to be in the 10 to 15 percent range.

They did not screw up. The tax cut bill would have never passed at all if it did not contain a sunset provision on the individual cuts. The corporate tax was âpermanentâ because to be an effective productivity incentive, it had to have a sense of stability. So now we have spend and tax Democrats looking to do away with that stability, while at the same time refusing to extend the individual tax cuts so they can blame that impending tax hike on Trump. Democrats have never met a tax they donât love.

Itâs kind of hard to cut taxes for people who donât pay taxes.

Republicans were solely responsible for the sunset clause, they could have eliminated it but they didnât care to. The tax cuts were meant for the rich donor class, not rank and file schlubs.

What part of âthe tax cut bill would have never passed if it did not contain a sunset provision on the individual cutsâ did you not understand? If the Demâs want to correct their mistake of forcing that provision, they are in complete control to do so now.

How do you help people pay lower taxes if they pay no taxes?

Yep. I was around for the misery index too.
I think Brandon is even worse than Jimma.

Not yet according to the Misery Index.
Jimmy Carter never passed a bipartisan infrastructure bill into law.
Allan
He is worse in that he is doing things deliberately to hard the country imo.
Jimmy was totally inept but i think he meant well. The woke libs guiding Brandon do not.
Plus it has been less than a year. Just give it time.

Yes, that is a great point.
Part of the problem is they havenât updated the Index yet for the year 2021 (donât know when they update after the new year).
Checking then may be eye opening.

The sweater address is coming.

If anyone is young, that is a reference to Jimmy telling Americans to just get used to less heat and wear a sweater.
