States do not have nor will ever have the ability the Federal Government has and they do not have the budget to do it either. It should have never been left to the states in the first place.

“Nationalized supply chain”? For what? Each state needs their own supplies. Each county needs their own supplies. And different supplies.

What you are advocating does not work and never has. It is micromanaging. No different than McNamara trying to run Vietnam from DC.

We should have always nationalized the supply chain, states should not be forced to procure this stuff on their own.

That’s absurd. One size fits all is the absolute worst way to handle a crisis.

No the worst way is having 50 states competing with each other and the Federal Government in trying to purchase PPE and testing supplies. That is way worse.

If I have covid and live in ny and it’s lockdown due to breakout, I’ll just drive over to Florida and relax(spread my sickness. ) You can’t escape. People will flock to areas with no lockdown. But hey you get to eat at Wendy’s with no mask. Congrats.
