That was my first thought. How does an aggressive prostate cancer not get diagnosed before it metastasizes into the bones in a President of the United States?

Very tough way to go.
Lot of wrong takes here, let me try and explain PSA testing.
- PSA has a lot of false positives, and lots of men get treated for cancers that do not exist. They are not the gold standard, an MRI is.
- There is less and less evidence that PSA testing improves or extends the lives of men. In fact, there is some evidence a false positive can lead to a shorted life, or incontinence, or ED.
- Prostate cancer is slow growing. We used to cut the prostate out, a very bloody procedure with a high mortality rate. Or we would guide a cutter up the urethra and chop a hole into the bladder to relieve obstruction. Very bloody as well.
- Now we used androgen blockers, very effective with symptomatic men. The METS to the spine can be treated with radiation. That should last Joe for a few years minimum, his chance at recovery is high.
- Once you hit 70, there is little evidence PSA testing provides benefit. The treatments in the past would kill you faster than the cancer, and current treatments work well even in advanced stages.
Heâs lived a long great life. He WAS lucky. He ought to be gratefull.
I feel for the children who suffer with Cancer.
I wish we had a choice/option to check out once we spend more days in a hospital than at home.
Or when the brain is gone and weâre a veggy, only making our loved oneâs lifes miserable.
Either Bidenâs doctors give worse diagnoses than the âdoctorsâ posting here do, or youâre spot on.

They just strategicaly chose to air it out AFTER Hurâs video went public to shift the publicâs sympathy.

Once you hit 70 there is no recommendation to do routine PSA screening. It is strictly optional. Biden was 78 entering the White House, if he didnât have obstruction symptoms the choice for prostate screening was up to him.
Late-state prostate cancer usually develops only after many years of cancer treatments. Androgen blockers frequently contribute to mental confusion and similar problems, which Biden has been exhibiting for many years.
It would not surprise me if Biden has been getting cancer treatments since 2020 or earlier.
Testosterone and its derivatives may have an impact on cognition through several mechanisms in the brain, as supported by studies of animals and in aging men. Studies that researched the impact of ADT on cognition in patients with prostate cancer patients were designed relatively well but suffered from small sample sizes. Between 47% and 69% of men on ADT declined in at least 1 cognitive area, most commonly in visuospatial abilities and executive functioning.

My dad had prostate cancer, was treated by removing it. This was in 03 or 04, he died in 08 but we are not sure why. On my dads side, he was the oldest to die @72, he was the last of his siblings to die and none of them made it past 70.

There is little to no chance he was on androgen blockers while POTUS. That would show in the yearly physical. Conspiracy theories donât work in this case, the White House doctor is obliged to be honest in the report.
I scrubbed in on a number of prostatectomies and they are miserable to do, tons of blood. Also assisted on a few TURPs as well, nasty business. Very rough on the patient. Loads of side effects as well. Therapies have really improved over the last few decades.

People with medical schooling either lied through their teeth or need a different profession, because anyone with zero medical schooling could see it, plain as day!

Or the yearly physical was a farce.
The February physical said Biden was âfit for dutyâ. A few months later Democrats dumped him after it was painfully obvious that he was not fit for duty.
