Pharma companies shovel millions of dollars at politicians. Good luck trying to change anything. Maybe Big Pharma shouldn’t curry favor with politicians. Maybe then prices could naturally go down.

Which party passed the ACH? Which party agreed to that prohibition when they passed it. I don’t remember the ACH getting any R votes.
well, thats the thing about corruption, as long as its working, you don’t hear about it.
I hope everything works out great. I won’t be the person who’s shocked when the stories about corrupt negotiators and drug companies start coming out.
There’s more too. And again, I’m not saying it’s bad, but there are other consequences. Right now US consumers fund a lot of those discount programs in places like Canada and the EU with the higher prices we pay. What happens when we stop? Where do they get the money to pay their new higher prices? Cut defense? That’s been what they did for decades. Of course they’ll do it again. Do you think the world is stable enough for that?
Do you think drug companies do the research? They don’t, for the most part. They buy completed products, usually from taxpayer funded Universities. They just run the clinical trials.
