No he didn’t he was relating to his audience. Right or wrong he believes his son got cancer while serving. This was not an attempt of stolen valor that the OP portrayed.
His son died of brain cancer. That is not related whatsoever to his service.
Or can you provide evidence that all of those who served in Iraq have died of brain cancer?

His case can only be loosely related as perhaps a comorbidity. Maybe at best. No direct cause.
Possible and speculative. Munitions ops would have a much higher rate than a military lawyer if this was a good theory.

We don’t even say that a soldier who came back from Iraq with PTSD and then subsequently died from some PTSD-related circumstance “lost his life in Iraq”.
Most people who heard Biden say that probably don’t even know his son died of brain cancer. So when they hear him say his son lost his life in Iraq, what to you think they conclude?

Everyone knows Biden’s son died of brain cancer. Otherwise, Trump never would have been president.
For the record, Beau Biden was not some grunt in a tent near a burn pit. He was a Major. He might never have seen nor smelled a burn pit.

No, everyone DOESN’T know his son died from Brain cancer. My best friend died from Brain cancer and was a firefighter. There is a proven link between some of the chemicals they are exposed to and brain cancer yet NOBODY says he died from being a firefighter.
The fact that you are excusing this obvious political play is frightening. His son did NOT die IN Iraq. He MAY have died because of his time there, but what Biden said was flat out wrong and a pathetic attempt to pander for votes. It is actually a slap in the face of the families who DID lose family members IN Iraq.
