I was razzing the OP who made that claim in a different thread.

Or maybe the police can treat the people they interact with like fellow human beings

A person running naked through the streets is behaving like a human being?

Good Gawds do some folks have a low bar.

Turnout maybe

Understandable.

Where is this “black nation”?

Mental illness can cause all sorts of erratic behavior. Yes, he should be treated with dignity and respect. He didn’t deserve to die the way he did.

The police need to be better.

Mental illness?

From the article posted:

A medical examiner concluded that Prude’s death was a homicide caused by “complications of asphyxia in the setting of physical restraint.” The report lists excited delirium and acute intoxication by phencyclidine, or PCP, as contributing factors.

The police aren’t mental health counselors. The guy was high on PCP and running through the streets naked.

He forfeited his own “dignity”.

Maybe the police should have started a bonfire with hot dog roast and they could have all been friends.

It is one of the 14 nations in this country.

Oh. Didn’t know we had 14 nations in this country.

I have to say I find this one strange. He was on PCP, he said he had the 'Rona, he was out in the cold naked and he died 7 days later in a hospital of asphyxiation?

There absolutely are and we are true to the culture of our nations.

I’m pretty sure extrajudicial execution is an extreme punishment for running around being crazy.

The police had previously taken him in for a mental health evaluation. His family also stated the man had starting developing psychological issues after the deaths of some in his family.

He was brain dead when he reached the hospital. He “died” 7 days later when they took him of life support.

Well, you cannot really rely on what someone on PCP says. At least that is my opinion.

Hospitals are known to restrain the unruly. Given he was arrested, I’d imagine he would be under restraints in the hospital.

I have no idea what drug withdrawal in a hospital entails. However, I do know that people die from drug and alcohol withdrawal if not handled properly.

Ah, that makes more sense. Thanks.

I wonder where he’d be if not for the PCP?

I wonder where we would be, if the cops hadn’t killed him? Maybe he could have gotten the help he needed, and seen a therapist?

The man was a danger to no one. The cops should have taken him to the back of a squad car. But no, they left a naked man, who was obviously having mental health issues, put a bag over his head, and held his head down on the pavement until he died.
