No they aren’t. There is some lead time, but it’s not “tricky”.

Get over yourself.

You’re just as much in the dark as anyone else believing you have a leg up. You don’t.

Let’s all calm down and take a breath.

No that’s not it.

How do you know?

It isn’t tricky. They work for now. The virus will outsmart this treatment as well.

Well sure, with that attitude.

No I’m not as in the dark as anyone else.

I work in the industry. I have access to experts to explain to me things for which I don’t have the expertise. I actually personally know some of the key players in the development of both the vaccines and the therapeutics.

This isn’t bragging…this simply is stating a fact.

So yes…if you are not in the business of making vaccines or biopharms…I know more than you.

Do monoclonals work? Yes or no.

In a thread where conservatives are arguing for man to control a virus

Here is the Webster.

Sometimes you have to admit I am right and move on.

Because I listen to what people say and pay attention to when and why they say it.

Depends on your definition of “running its course” and “control”.

Several stated human goals were achieved.

We minimized harm…maybe not to the degree we wanted or aimed for but to the degree we could.

We developed vaccines and therapies in record time to further minimize it. We know we saved lives by doing this.

That to me is “control” enough.

What is your scientific definition of efficacy?

You first.

You made the claim…you back it up.

And since you obviously are scientifically literate, you ought to know what my definition of efficacy is.

ef·fi·ca·cy | \ ˈe-fi-kə-sē
plural efficacies
Definition of efficacy
: the power to produce an effect

Here’s Merriam Webster’s definition…do you agree?

Correct as far as it goes, but we are talking science here.

Give me the scientific definition of efficacy as it pertains to vaccines so we have common ground to discuss the efficacy of the vaccines.

Great…fill in the missing portion.

It isn’t about throwing money at it. Under the DPA facilities capable of manufacturing the desired item are identified and directed by the authority of the DPA to convert their production to the desired item. Case in point there are several monocronal antibody manufactures, but only one seems to be effective against omicron. The DPA can be used to direct those facilities to produce the effective treatment. And there are more facilities in the US capable of this production that could be directed to increase the supply under the DPA. But that would take something more that setting with one’s thumb up their ass shouting vaccine, vaccine uber alles
