Beyer On IG Revelations Of Trump’s Involvement In FBI Headquarters Decision: “This Looks Like A Cover-Up”

More examples of Donald Trump lining his pockets at the expense of the tax payer and the needs of the country, America First? More like Trump first America Second (maybe)

“This week the Inspector General (IG) of the General Services Investigation (GSA) issued a report which found that, despite previous denials, President Trump was personally involved in the decision to overturn years of planning for the relocation of the FBI headquarters. That decision has a significant impact on Trump’s financial interests, given the proximity of the current headquarters to the Trump International Hotel.”

"The report also found that the GSA had significantly underestimated the cost of the rebuilding project to Congress by excluding key considerations in its analysis, which allowed the Administration to project that its plan would be less costly than the previous plan to build a new headquarters, when the opposite was true."

Most corrupt administration in modern times, and perhaps in US history. Just sick that this is where we are.

If it turns out that this report is an accurate accounting of what took place and that changes were made for the personal financial interests of President Trump, he’ll without question, lose ground with those that supported his election. I say “if” because there is an establishment entity with in our government that is posing an all out war with Trump so that the status quo can continue. Rosenstein is an example of what I’m saying so…before I can pass judgement, I need to understand if the motivation is political or an accurate accounting of what took place?

Good old Smyrna, never one to jump to conclusions.

I did that. I did a search on “Hotel” and came up with nothing. It seems like the IG report didn’t exactly say what the OP indicated. Perhaps the rest was a conclusion based on the OP report plus knowledge of additional background.

What the IG report said was that the cost estimates weren’t accurate and that the people heading the GSA were not forthcoming as to the meetings with the White House.

That is indeed suspicious, but lets separate what they did find out from the conclusions someone else came up with.

Nah. Fill it to the brim.

No he won’t!

Some of us said it was sleazy. Not necessarily illegal, but sleazy.

FBI doesn’t need a new building…hell build em a doghouse and say here you go. Shut up or quit either way it’s what they deserve.

So much for the supposed support of the FBI rank and file. I think we all knew that was BS anyway.

Let’s just reassign the FBI to ICE agents and vise versa. Win Win

And you don’t care. You don’t care one bit. He did something sleazy and you will surely vote for him again.

Same will be true if it’s discovered he’s using his power to enrich himself. You will note it and continue to support him.

I kept saying that Donald Trump was going to come to DC and show the politicians what real corruption looks like. And that’s exactly what’s happened.

Absolutely. He has made those that came before him look like amateur hour by comparison. Of course to be fair, he did have decades of practice with corruption and self-dealing to prepare for this.

NOt if there is a decent Republican primarying him with similar views on issues who could win. Against some sanctuary city, socialist, open borders liberal…yes, I think I would still support him because country over personalities.
