Despite non-stop media attention and a massive fundraising haul in the first quarter of 2019, local enthusiasm for former Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke appears to be lagging in Iowa; with recent crowds failing to fill venues across the pivotal swing state.

“Beto O’Rourke saw firsthand what it’s like to be just another presidential candidate during a sleepy town hall event Sunday afternoon as the enthusiasm and star power he sought to generate hit ground truth in Iowa,” reports the Washington Examiner.

“A number of attendees remarked to the Washington Examiner that O’Rourke’s crowd was smaller than they anticipated, particularly in a city of 75,000 with a major university. The crowd was less than half the size of audiences drawn by O’Rourke’s rival Sen. Bernie Sanders at similar events in smaller towns,” adds the article.

O’Rourke made international headlines in recent days on a variety of issues; viciously labeling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “racist” who opposed “peace” across the Middle East.

wait! I know what Fake News can do! Just like with Trump how they took pictures
of an empty building on the inside before the rally, and cut out how many
actual people were at the rally, they could some how take a picture of
the few that actually did show up for Betty, and they expand it a
couple of hundred times! lol.
