Self-described Democratic-Socialist Bernie Sanders raised a whopping $6 million during the first 24 hours of his 2020 presidential campaign; smashing Sen. Kamala Harris previous haul of just $1.5 million on her first day.
“Newly announced Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders has raised $6 million since his campaign launched Tuesday morning, and $5.9 million in the first 24 hours,” reports CBS News.
President Trump welcomed Sanders to the 2020 race for the White House Wednesday morning, tweeting “Crazy Bernie has just entered the race. I wish him well.”
