Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders unveiled his latest government proposal Thursday; announcing his plan to allow United States Post Offices to provide “basic banking services” to America’s “unbanked and underbanked.”

“Banks make record profits discriminating against people of color and denying basic banking services to 63 million adults who are unbanked or underbanked,” posted Sanders on social media. “We must allow every post office to offer basic, affordable banking services and end lending discrimination once and for all.”

Senator Sanders’ poll numbers have plunged in recent days, with former Vice President Joe Biden opening-up a massive 30-point lead among likely Democratic voters.
