Bernie Sanders “political revolution” of disaffected voters failed to materialize at the voting booth Tuesday night; crashing the far-left Senator’s hopes of taking on Donald Trump this November.

“Joe Biden decisively won Michigan’s Democratic presidential primary, seizing a key battleground state that helped propel Bernie Sanders’ insurgent candidacy four years ago. The former vice president’s victory there, as well as in Missouri, Mississippi and Idaho, dealt a serious blow to Sanders and substantially widened Biden’s path to the nomination,” reports the Associated Press.

Sanders holds a narrow lead over Biden in Washington State, 32.7% to 32.5%.

“It’s been a great night — thank you for all of your support! We’re bringing this party together and it’s going to take all of us to keep it going,” posted Biden on social media.
