Ben Sasse lets Trump have it. A voice from my side of the right side of the Aisle!

That party would be the libertarian party. Personal Freedom, and fiscal responsibility. I think that there are a lot of Trumpers who protect him, or support him because they voted for him rather than let Hillary win. I think deep down inside they are just waiting for someone else to come along and then they will vote him out. If I am wrong the republican party is lost.

I’ve been harassing Flake on twitter.

You’re welcome.

I always get a chuckle out of the fact that Pence is only VP because he dropped out of the Indiana governor’s race, having literally no chance of winning.

Yes. Without the sarcasm, that is literally exactly why.

Actual conservatives. Like the real ones. They are not monolithic enough to have a party. They’d drown in purity tests.

This is the same with ultra left. Communists and anarchists have everything and nothing in common at the same time

This is why I advocate for sane Republicans in congress to go (D). There are many Democratic voters who aren’t far left. The party is moving leftward because the alternative is crazy-house. We could push the Democratic party rightwards, at least a little bit, if Republican voters would cross over to vote for a D.

I had a fire Pence sign in my yard…He was no conservative!

It’s like getting hired for a job because you are unemployed and can start tomorrow right?

None of this will happen. Any republican running for reelection is too scared of Trump’s base to offer anything more than a meek tweet.

That’s why the Republican Party is no longer a viable party for rational voters. You can’t say that between a generic Republican and a generic Democrat that the Republican is the less worse option anymore.

The GOP have long since capitulated. They will do nothing to actually fight against Trump’s interests- whether its trade wars or smooching Russia- they don’t want to risk the ire of the base.

Again Trumps’ new GOP and his supporters are now for…

  • Ballooning trillion dollar deficits
  • Being super friendly with the Kremlin
  • Denying the veracity of our Intelligence Agency Reports
  • Insulting and denigrating relationships with our main allies
  • Denigrating the U.S. and its “many years of foolishness and stupidity.”
  • Engaging in multilateral trade wars and massive tariffs.
  • No longer supporting “Family Values”- (Porn stars, payoffs, etc)
  • Summits with tinpot dictators that elevate them while getting nothing in return

Gotta admit Trump has shaken things up- pretty surprising how far the base will capitulate and give up their traditional conservative values.

Oh I agree. I can’t vote for any republican (other than someone trying to primary Trump) until Trump is out of office. I fully intend to vote for Beto in November.

I find it funny that none of the usual cultists are here defending their president? Did the heat finally get to be too much? Makes you wonder?

They never had those values. They just wanna keep brown people out of the country.

I warned everybody.
