He did…he won on all the issues except abortion in regards to what I believe are on mind of American people.

Newsom kept obfuscating IMO.

Sean to his credit used actual facts from government own sources in most cases…and Newsom deflected every single time.

IMO Sean did better than expected. His questions was presented with actual facts from government own sources.

And than allowed them to duke it out. Problem was Newsom kept obfuscating/deflecting.

DeSantis hit on everything that most American people wanted to hear except IMO abortion.

He ( I’m guessing), is wrong. I posted the Florida guidelines for felons having their rights restored around comment # 105. His ( guessing again) eight year timeline is wrong and he ( well you know) doesn’t even mention the application process for a full pardon.
They keep saying incorrect information to fit their narratives because a majority of cement heads are too lazy to either source the truth or accept the lie as fact.

He absolutely did not. There were many moments where he had no rebuttal and just stood looking like an idiot and smiling.

Why he chose to debate a non presidential candidate is beyond me. Debating is not his strength and he doesn’t think well on his feet.

Newsome pinned him his actions during COVID… and how he tried to out Trump Trump and he is still losing to Trump by 41 points.

Speaking of which, have you noticed how little the people’s concerns and what gov is arguing over is the same?

Wrong again.

 I love this post.:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:

You mean vaccinating the elderly and most vulnerable demographic first?
Funny thing, there’s a high population of elderly in Florida. Elderly Covid victims died at a higher rate than others.
“Da Science” said vaxxed or unvaxxed people died from Covid. And like the rest of the country including Greasy Gavin’s state, old people died.

Interesting debate night. I kind of liked it that two Dudes, who regularly spar on social media, nutted up and debated each other Man to Man.

Gotta hand it to Newsom, he went into hostile territory and did well. Right up there with Mayor Pete, who doesn’t shy from going on Fox to make his point. I wish more Dems did. The questions from Hannity definitely benefited Desantis and put Newsom to the test, most were from a Conservative perspective (“Biden looks senile, what are your thoughts?”). He wound up not only debating Desantis but Hannity, who is no slouch and is more of a contest for him.

Newsom smiled naturally, showed amusement, didn’t back down if interrupted and in several instances stopped Desantis from interrupting him. He took some nice jabs and made a few memorable digs about Desantis in regards to abortion, his immigration stunts, his failure to gain traction in the Presidential race, and his COVID posturing. He was strong in eye contact towards Desantis and directly addressed him.

Desantis had some strong moments as well. he was well armed with the facts he wanted to bring and delivered them forcefully. He wasn’t passive, often speaking over Desantis. His problem was he never looked at Newsom, he looked at the camera and when he tried to smile, it seemed unnatural and forced. He is not a strong debater.

And Hannity, for the most part, was fairer than I anticipated. Sure the questions were skewed heavily towards Conservative ideology but you sort of have to expect that. Lion’s den and all. He kept saying he didn’t want to be the hall monitor but that was sort of his job as the Moderator, no need to keep saying that, just play your part so they aren’t talking over each other. I would have liked a few questions that put Desantis’ feet to the fire instead of having Newsom play Defense all night, but that is neither here nor there.

In the end, I don’t think Desantis did himself any favors, but Newsom reached an entirely new audience tonight and whether you agree with him or not, any Fox viewer has to respect he stood in there and took it without complaint and with a smile on his face. Most Dems avoid Fox, but at the end of the debate Newsom said “I got all night, let’s keep going!” which was very cool.

Conservative? Crime, education, gas, inflation, housing etc

All question was back up by our own government data.

Newsom deflected on every single issue that was brought up except abortion.

So that tells me what libs are hammering home this election cycle.

Violent crime…California is twice the crime rate. Yes Newsom is right, Fla does have more murders. I fact checked that but overall violent crime rate in Cal is twice that of Fla. National average is right smack in the middle.

Fla ranked 1 or near one in test scores…Cal is 20th despite spending 16 grand per child to Fla 12 grand.

Sale tax is higher in Cal with state income taxes. Fla has little higher property taxes.

Gasoline prices are 2 dollar more in Cal. Cal has highest gas tax in the nation…plus Cal has carbon fees for main reason. Yes lack of refineries in Cal is partly the cause but not the main reason.

On all kitchen table talk DeSantis won on except IMO abortion. To say otherwise than I suggest opening your right eye.

And I’ll give Hannity B+ to A-. He stayed away from talking points and stuck with actual data…date from very government that libs love.

The homeless comparison stuck out for me.

CA is 4x that of FL.

Coupla points made by Gov DeSantis made me giggle:
“I talked to a man who had just fled California for Florida. It was Gavin’s father in law”
Here’s this app that locates piles of ■■■■ on the sidewalks and streets of San Francisco”:clap::clap:
Paraphrasing of course but priceless

Not just deflection but outright lying with the numbers right on the screen in front of God and everyone, and here we have the defenders continuing the gaslighting. :joy:

Yes that too.

What numbers did he lie about? I don’t recall.
