How do YOU arrive at 12.7 percent?

Fla sales tax is 1 dollar and 25 cents lower than California. Fla has no income tax.

Fla a 300 thousand dollar home property tax is 2,400.00. In California a 300 grand home property tax is 2130.00…and that’s providing you can find a 300 thousand dollar home.

Now if anyone is wondering liberal Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy is a radical left-wing that manipulations it’s data.

Now add in gas tax…California is tax per gallon is twice that of Florida.

10 gallons a week for 52 weeks Cal is 286 dollars a year. Fla 136 dollars a year.

Now add in Carbon fees that Cal charge.

That’s another 41 cents a gallon at 10 gallons a week 213.20 cents per year.

Now consider yourself fact checked.

It found that in California, the top 1% of households for incomes paid 12.4% of their income in state and local taxes. By comparison, in Florida, households in the bottom 20% of incomes paid 12.7% of their income in state and local taxes. By this metric, Newsom is correct.

more ■■■■■■■■■ CA has a HIGHER sales tax, higher fuel taxes and an income tax. The only way they could pay less of their income in taxes is to have less income to begin with. Considering the number of homeless, that could be true. The reason however for the “lower” tax burden is not state policy, but lower income.

Was in San Diego a while back. Place is full of bums.

Also was struck as I was looking up at the buildings how pretty it was, then I looked around. What a pit. Too bad. San Diego use to be such a pretty city

I didn’t say LA and SF were the only cities with homeless. I just said they have the largest population of homeless.

I’ve literally never heard of anyone calling San Diego a “pit”. I can guarantee it is better than where you live.

Doesn’t matter unless he lives in San Diego or Maui. I’m just taking a strong strong guess that it’s neither.

That is a subjective thing, some prefer to live in say Wyoming, it is absolutely beautiful there.

Wyoming is pretty but crap weather compared to San Diego.

Some like being able to ski - and change of seasons in general.
