If the judge finds no shocking hidden political material behind the redactions, then he is just blowing smoke. He has no more information as of now than anyone else with an opinion…and everyone has one.
A federal judge who is a lifelong Republican publicly criticizing the sitting Republican AG that severely is a measured and a powerful endorsement of the widely held interpretation that Barr acted to protect the President at the cost of the truth. This is not a comment from a pundit.

They honestly won the pr battle which is what they needed to do. Mueller I think thought these folks would be stand up take their lumps folks. He was a fool and should have been more mean.

It is a comment from one of millions of people with an opinion.
This is a lousy FOI case. Let him examine the redacted portions then. If he finds nothing hidden there for political purposes, he was just blowing smoke.
If he finds a lot of redactions the sole purpose of which was to avoid making Trump look bad, then he was right.
I’ll wait.
And Mitt was a lifelong Republican. That means nothing.
A federal judge is not one person with an opinion. He’s a person with knowledge, responsibility and a much great sense of his occasion the those of us who run their mouths on the Internet.

Still one person with an opinion.

You might want to have surgery performed by a High School dropout, but I prefer to pay attention to people’s knowledge, credentials and ability.
It’s a choice.

Sure, up until you disagree with a ruling, cough Citizen United cough.

I still want Supreme Court decisions rendered by qualified judges, not by High School dropouts even if I disagree with them. There’s good reason why criminal trials are decided by a jury of one’s peers but appellate court decisions are not.

This is a FOI request. That judge has no more information on the subject than we do. If you want to bow to his superiority, you are free to do so. I’ll wait for the redactions.
This has nothing to do with “bowing to superiority.” Its a recognition of why a person in a position of authority would chose to take such a dramatic action. Its an example of understanding and empathy as well as respect for someone who worked for years to be in the position he is in.

An educated, responsible, opinion is still an opinion. The many 5-4 rulings from the Supreme Court demonstrate that fully.
They are called opinions for a reason. But are you saying that and educated, responsible opinion is equivalent to the opinion of a less well educated person with a point of view and an internet connection.
You won’t see it. Only for the judge.

No matter how you parse it, no matter how you rationalize it, it’s still an opinion.

So basically you are saying that Barr correctly made the redactions and the Judge wont change anything.

Still one person’s opinion.
High school drop outs have done surgery in places you wouldn’t last a day.

Nobody said any such thing.
