As long as there’s still white people in America the race baiters and victim pushers will always blame whitey for their failures. That’s one of the staples of today’s Democrat.

The fact you don’t know the role of admin in schools pretty much means you don’t know as much as you would like us to believe.

An person hires auto mechanics and right-wing militia groups to do make the tests?
TRUTH
the test are made by teachers. Frequently working for the government sometimes working for Pearson Princeton etc…
It really really really actually actually actually is possible to design a test that determines if a third grader is reading at a third grade level. Real-life actual teachers do it all the time.
Aesop ahs a fable about a city under siege. The stone mason thinks stone masonry will be the solution. (walls) The carpenter thinks carpentry will be. (catapults) The leather worker thinks leather working will be. (leather armor)
The fact that teachers faced with a problem do not EVEN think about it educationally but instead start blaming corporations, blaming rich people, blaming whitey shows how deeply-entrenched the problem is.

All admin are teachers. As they like to call themselves “educators.” A lot of them were teachers who couldn’t teach.
I know the role. I also know it is a closed system.

Examples of a professional teacher’s approach to the problems defined in the thread title:
"The problem is these days
- administrators have an adversarial relationship with teachers
- there are too many administrators
- teachers have to spend all their time trying to maintain classroom discipline
- class sizes are bigger
- kids’ attention spans have gotten shorter
- social promotion, too many 3rd graders are failed second-graders who should have been held back
- etc."

Examples of responses one would expect from an unprofessional teacher and/or politically-indoctrinated robot who happened to land a teaching job
"The problem is
- racism
- rich people
- Christians
- Republicans
- homophobia and transphobia
- the tests are wrong (racist and/or made by corporations)
- rich school districts have the latest curricula
- corporations
- etc.
Which category of responses are we seeing here and in the media?

What craft actually does the work? “Educators”.
But those are not the tests that measure students’ achievements across the country. Of course, teachers evaluate students’ reading all the time- but not by giving tests. They do it by using leveled books and taking notes as kids read.

A lot of parents see public school as a free babysitter and correctional facility, that’s true.
That belief was fostered by the government and academics who now whine about the results of the system they created.
Now we have “educators” telling parents they have no role in curriculum and their child’s education. Leave it to “the professionals.”
The truth is the “educators” only want parental involvement on their terms."
All part of the maniac Randi Whinegarten’s union activism’s agenda.

the “funny” thing is the AFT used to be the conservative teachers’ union.
Anyway, I think when we read media articles (or responses on this thread) my above post is a good template to use.
- If one’s knee jerk reaction is to identify educational phenomena (too much paperwork, too many administrators, classroom discipline etc.) etc. that person is an educator who tries and sometimes fails to identify the problem.
- If one’s knee jerk reaction is to name the same enemies as would be named by marxists-who-have-never-taught, and trans-activists-who-have-never-taught, etc. they reveal themselves.
Aesop was right.
As I am unfamiliar with the region, the teaching methods used and a host of other factors that may come into play for those children, it would be foolish for me to grab a broad brush.
The AFT is a political arm of the Dimbulbcrat party and a source of revenue for leftist candidates.
The AFT under their leadership of the maniacal Whinegarten are not interested in education in the least bit only the political power they’ve been given.
Look at how children were denied access to schools after Whinegarten directed the rank and file to stay away!

That is what I gather in recent years.
Back in the 70s when my Dad’s school district was being unionized both AFT and NEA were actively trying to organize it. He was politically center-right (voted for Ford, probably voted for Nixon and regretted it,) and his teaching style was old school conservative.
He fit right-in with the NFT in those days and signed with them.
Psychometricians. Many psychometricians have a master’s degree or Ph. D., usually in a subject such as educational measurement, quantitative psychology, or statistics. Most people enter the discipline from a related field, such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, or psychology.
Teaching more than teaching to the test is hard.
