Badges will lead to badge inequality.
Some posters will have badge privilege. Others will not.
We should support inclusion in the forum. Badge redistribution would be a step in that direction.

I really like gamification. I enjoy getting achievements when I play video games and I love the fact this forum has badges. I want to get as many as I can.

I know it has zero impact but something satisfying seeing that achievement or badge pop up.

Since I am at the moment playing Marvel Strike Force, and it’s lousy with milestones and levels and tiers, I can’t really argue with this sentiment.
