Highly doubtful we will see such lawlessness.

Only target rounds were available at the gun shop I went to yesterday. Maybe another local gun shop has supply.

Nor am I suggesting we will. We’re not there yet but don’t kid yourself, we’ve seen it before in recent history.

Civilization is nothing but a thin veneer.

Very true. I see it whenever there is a hurricane and people wait in lines for gas or want to get that item on the grocery shelf before someone else can get to it.

That sounds civilized to me.

Unless you’ve been in those lines and see how easily tempers flare

And the looting, rape, murder, assaults that follow.

Has that happened, or are you just an optimist?

I’ve never seen that and lived through three hurricanes.

Seems kind of stupid to own guns and not have enough ammo to use them properly at any given time.

Spend some time talking to survivors of the depression.

Times were tough and people didn’t exhibit ā€˜inherently bad’ characteristics.

Even cavemen survived their circumstances.

Nobody has. Just right-wing conspiracy dooms-day kook-talk. It’s called media sensationalism. If you look for something hard enough, you’ll find it.

Mad Max fantasies are running wild.

Some seem to be wishing for it.

There was looting after Katrina………….

They looted a few Walmarts and some liquor stores. Better run out and buy 10,000 rounds of ammo because, libs or something…

It’s plenty in a survival situation. Nobody will be working on skills during that time. That’s why you prepare now.

Yep, gained my proficiency in the military. I don’t need to put hundreds of rounds a week down range, to maintain it.

Same.

I don’t have a rifle, but once I attained the rank of Master Sergeant, I was assigned a 9MM. Seven years worth of ranges, I got pretty proficient with it.
