Does the constitution forbid one branch of government from utilising public protest as a means of pressuring another branch to change their course? I would say the house and senate Democrats have done that a lot to pressure a President and the judiciary.

Without a doubt, Reid did what he did as a reaction to Republican recalcitrance. I have no problem admitting that.

The fact remains, McConnell acted in bad faith to seat Gorsuch, then reversed himself in an act of naked hypocrisy to sear Barrett, and I am happy to see him repaid for his perfidy.

But take heart, friends, it won’t happen. But if it did, I’d be more than happy to see it.
