Not going to catch Carter, but not bad.

As it stands right now.

Overall, Carter still holds the overall record of 261 Article III appointments in a single Presidential term.
Reagan had 217 in his second term
Clinton had 203 in his first term.
GW Bush had 204 in his first term.

So a very good chance Trump will finish in second place for Article III appointments in a single Presidential term.

For first term he is there, is he not?

Mitch needs to get on the stick. He’s had 3.5 years to get these nominations through.

The pace certainly seems to have slowed considerably.

COVID-19 is the reason, as explained in the linked thread. There was a full 84 day Senate hiatus.

Which never should have occurred, that’s on Mitch.

David Joseph was confirmed to the Western District of Louisiana 55 to 42. (#202, #145)
