Arpaio has been out of office about 3 years, 5 months, but his awful legacy is still in progress. The taxpayer bill is now at $178 Million.

Sheriff Penzone has been doing his damnedest to clean up the MCSO, but reversing 24 years of lawlessness and racism will probably take two four year terms to accomplish. And until that happens, the legal bills will continue to mount.

And Arpaio has the gall to run for Sheriff this year. And the man turns 88 years of age on June 14.

Arpaio must face two opponents in the Republican primary, including his former Chief Deputy Mike Sheridan.

Paul Penzone is unopposed in the Democratic primary.

Why is that bill Arpaio’s fault? He may be innocent.
