Been in sort of a downer mood today because of the sad news about Aretha Franklin, who reports say is near death. What a great singer, one of the greatest ever. Thank goodness her music lives on.

Reports say she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2010. That’s a very long time to fight that particular disease.

I’m very sorry to hear this news. She was a terrific singer as well as giving a great performance in “The Blues Brothers”.
