I agree the labels are worthless today, and you are spot on the big issue is globalization. China is a real problem that our politicians and businesses have completely sold out American manufacturing out to. They do the same thing in the I.T. industry. This country used to take pride in “Made in America”, and the base of the democrat party was the “Party of The Working Man”.

Fast forward to today and look at the inverse, hardly anyone cares about our American manufacturing, and if it was made in America or by some eight year old kid in China, getting whipped by “Big Boss Man No. 24” they could care less. We have free trade with countries who basically use slave trade. It’s not a sustainable model, and the gap will widen between the rich and the poor with the dissolving of the middle class.

Globalization is being vehemently contested in Europe atm.
