In Australia, don’t the Treasurer’s square off in only one debate too?
If so, please explain the basis for that format and only a sole encounter Down Under.
Australia’s treasurer is not second in the pecking order. Ministers, including the treasurer, are regularly asked questions during question time in the House of Reps and Senate. Also, ministers and their shadows are regularly interviewed by members of the media, so there is less need to have debates between the treasurer and his shadow.
A winning candidate with the right message and applicable mental faculties should welcome every possible chance to debate.
If Americans are going to cast an informed vote they also deserve as many opportunities as possible to see both candidates going head to head on stage.
Democrats have been destroying “Historical Norms” right and left at every turn odd you should want to fall back on that now.
Can we please quit derailing the thread with this?

I saw John Nichols of the nation.com write an op ed the other day stating Senator Harris will dominate the current VP Pence in their one debate scheduled for early October. Funny how JN leaves out how KH is a hypocrite after doing an about-face now in joining a ticket with JB after calling the guy out in a prior debate.
How many VP debates will there be?
Harris is nothing special debating. Look at how Tulsi Gabbard took her apart.
Presumably then Pence would relish the chance to have three VP debates with Harris.

Pence has been interviewed and NEVER said once anything about relishing doing additional debates.
Rather has repeatedly said looks forward to the one debate Harris and he will be having…

3 debates has worked just fine until now and there’s no reason it won’t be sufficient in this election.
Seeing how old both candidates are do you feel your logic applies to the Vice President candidates as well?

Since Joe doesn’t want to debate Trump, the Trump team should just set up a debate without Biden…the moderator asks questions, Trump answers (live) and then play back Biden’s responses from past interviews and debates…should be quite entertaining!
Welcome!
Joe Biden has agreed to all three scheduled debates. President Trump has yet to agree to any debates.
We might need to move the schedule up to get ahead of any more Trump administration indictments though.

Okay. The wager is finalized. Double or nothing?
This prediction is not aging well at all.
