Add to that, some conservatives (really, republicans) voted for Trump more as a “Hillary is worse” scenario than “Trump is going to Make America Great Again”.
It might have been a small contingency, but it was enough to give Trump the Presidency.
Those conservatives (republicans) may have regretted that they did pull the Trump lever. Not that they wished they voted for Hillary, but maybe voting for a 3rd party candidate.
Now, now. Rush and Ted were joking.
Now, those Democrats who vowed to leave the country when either Bush or Trump were elected NEED to leave. They definitely were not joking.

If Democrats ran anyone else but Hillary Trump would not have won.
It is difficult to leave a cult.
CassandraJoe:
Apparently, the only Trump supporters who have second thoughts are the ones who have been fired from his Administration, are under indictment by the Mueller probe, or have decided to cooperate with the investigation. The rank and file are still gung-ho. In fact, all the Emperor’s appalling behavior has become a source of admiration by Church-going Conservatives and beleaguered Farmers (personally, I’m waiting for Adultery to become part of the Republican Party platform).
Its still not bad enough, yet.
I told you so.
I imagine that this is partly the reason. To real Christians, an empty earthen vessel is the perfect vessel in which to pour the holy spirit.
Ron Reagan was on the tube last night making this observation. Everything that Trump does is influenced by others. This has been most visible lately as Erdogan suggested the Syria exit. And how Rush and others in the CEC made him change his mind about the spending bill. Basically this man has no ideas of his own. And he has no convictions and moral compass. And this makes for scary times.

You mean become democrats. Nah, that ain’t happening.

The conservatives who were prone to supporting Trump got on board during his campaign. They’re not likely to get off that bus–not unless they’ve got money in the stock market, and most are living paycheck to paycheck, if they’re employed.
The conservatives who found Trump disgusting never supported him. They’re not likely to ever change their minds either.
It appeared to have been an all-or-nothing decision, and it happened during the campaign.
It’s the same reason the Chinese will never condemn Chairman Mao. It would mean they would have to admit they were wrong.

Nope, dude. Those are two different groups.
Progressives are 95 members lead by Pelosi
Liberals are 90 members lead by Jim Himes (Wassermann-Schultz is a member)
they might overlap on some policies but they are two distinct groups.
Allan (educating cons on Hannity since 2002)
Would you compare that to the difference between Marxist and Marxist-Leninist?

This may end up being the shortest thread in forum history, but here goes…
I am continually surprised by the level of loyalty of Trump supporters. My social media feed and this forum is full of pro-Trump comments from people who proudly voted for him and continue to support him in spite of ongoing investigations, indictments, guilty pleas, admitted infidelity, skyrocketing deficits, flat stock market performance, etc etc.
I’m curious to hear if there are people on this forum who at one time had enthusiastic support for Trump but have since had a change of heart.
Did you support Trump enthusiastically in 2016 but feel today that he no longer deserves your support?
What caused you to change your mind?
What was the last straw for you?
Not even a former Trump supporter would be willing to vote for a socialist. So there’s that.
Kinda off topic but do you guys remember the #walkaway movement? And then we had that midterm where Democrats won the popular vote by a 10% margin? Just wondering.

That was always a fake Republican Media product.
So this past mid term was above average for losses? That link didn’t help you at all
They voted for a liberal…only a hop, skip and a jump to get to socialist from there. So there’s that.
Stop with your “alternative facts” right thinking folks like Ishy won’t be fooled. Trump won bigliest in the midterms!
I always like the “they call them fingers but they never fing” school of LSD addled arguments. Does anything really mean anything man?
