Actually, in a way yes. But, my oh my, how provocative. Must have hit a nerve.

Not hardly. I graduated high school a long time ago. Before it was Woke.

Isn’t today a school day?

Then why do you go on about it?

I’m not. I’m going on about oil.

I remember when learning Spanish in HS was considered ā€œwokeā€. I vividly remember a few parent objecting to having their kids learn Spanish as a requirement.

The admin ended up making it an elective… but it was interesting.

I also remember only allowing boys to take shop. It was considered ā€œwokeā€ to allow women.

No you don’t. And you’d better be careful.

Sounds like you’re riffing on woke high schools, not oil.

I 100% do…

Parents didn’t like it. So we had to change to an elective.

ā€œRiffingā€?

That is about you.

Foreign language was a requirement since well before you were born.

Wait! Are you saying the school made specifically Spanish a requirement because California?

Still nothing about oil, except some meme thing. Which didn’t add anything.

Why would I discuss oil with you?

I’m not forcing you to. You made the claim.

What claim?

ā€œI’m going on about oil.ā€ See above. So far, I’ve only seen a meme, and some kind of statement about woke high schools and rich kids.

Keep looking.

Here’s my suggestion: read the Robert Rapier piece I posted upwhen. It might help you out. Well, actually downwhen.

Spanish? A requirement or an elective?
