Are there even 52 militarily significant target in Iran? Or did the president really threaten civilian and cultural targets

The more things change, the more they stay the same. The Waco Jesus’s followers sounded exactly the same.

The United States exterminated 226,000 mostly innocent people over two days about 74 years ago. For all his bravado, I doubt Trump will outdo that performance.

The United States long ago showed it has no more regard for life or morality than any other country or entity on this planet.

So why should we be the slightest ******* surprised at anything that happens going forward.

So is that a ■■■■■ it, let’s kill some more” or a “let’s try to turn the tide” vote from you?

It would be a turn the tide.

But the Democrats are no ******* better, they just are not as over the top in their utterances.

Democrats can kill, maim and destroy along with the best of Republicans.

Neither of them are about to turn away from the path of death and destruction.

From the article:

“The president of the United States is threatening Iran with cultural extinction. That is a war crime. Threatening a war crime is also war crime. And this president must be held accountable for it, whether while in office or afterward as need be.”

A whole thread based on the baseless ramblings of some Trump hater filled with things he made up in his head.
He has no basis for his statements. None. NOt in international law, not in support of what he thinks Trump intends. There is nothing to discuss.

attacking cultural sites is very much a war crime under international law/

Absolutely, and thanks for your answer.

The UN Security Council, which includes the US, voted in March of 2017 condemning the destruction of cultural sites. As US Deputy Ambassador to the UN Michele Sison said at the end of the vote -

“The policy of the United States Government is clear. The unlawful destruction or trafficking of cultural heritage is deplorable. We unequivocally oppose it and we will take all feasible steps to halt, limit and discourage it. The United States seeks to hold accountable those who engage in the illegal trade of cultural property and the perpetrators of deliberate cultural heritage destruction.”

He didn’t say “cultural sites,” he said “important to the Iranian culture.” He could be referring to monuments such as the Azadi Tower. Iran is full of such modern symbolism.

The Russians did that in Lebanon and in Chechnya. It worked.

Again … “cultural site” and “cultural importance” are two different things.

Do leftists ever learn anything?

They are like angry sheep, taking the side of the wolf that want to eat them.

They wanted appeasement before WW2

They give billions to those that want to kill you.

They hate America as much as the terrorists

Would Azadi Tower be considered a legitimate military target under the Geneva Conventions?

The impeached president Trump probably got confused with the number of cards in a pack.

It would be interesting to know whether you would have a problem with another country targeting a non-USA citizen located in the USA for summary execution.

What are you talking about?

it’s a stupid tweet Samm, you don’t have to breathlessly defend every bizarre thing Trump does.

They might want to consider using “bunker busters”, the Iranians like to keep the good stuff underground.

I would not want to be around any Trump branded property for the foreseeable future.

He’s definitely not taking the same limp-wristed approach that certain very recent president (s) has taken before him.

Some recent joke(s) of a president would be telling everyone how beautiful the call to jihad is right now.
