Are The DEMs In 2020 Repeating The 2016 GOP Mistake

She was perceived to be I think.

I don’t so, but if that’s the case then all the Dems currently running are ■■■■■■■ Except maybe Klobuchar.

From the right-of-center perspective, that’s exactly the case. (Never mind the far right perspective!)

Just saying.

Thanks! I think I’ve never written that word down.

I mean the Dems managed to lose in 2004 when that election should of been a lock so that very well could be the case.

I don’t think most voters spend any significant amount of time worrying about if a candidate is too “far left” or too “far right” though. That is some political nerd stuff.

none of the 2016 gop candidates ran as socialist totalitarians…

The reason Trump “beat” Clinton was a tactical mistake by DEMs in 3 states giving him 77,000 more votes in the EC while still losing in the General.

No doubt. Her campaign was cartoonishly bad.

It wasn’t because she was too far left though.

Biden hasn’t decided I think

Yeah…Bernie was the extremist in my opinion.

Well, he has to have a bunch of political experts determine the likelihood of him getting metooed before he decides.

Dems got lucky with Obama and mccain picking palin. Dems are worse than GOP at the political game. Clinton/kerry terrible candidates. One thing dems have for them is diversity / youth. Thats what they need to focus on.

The fact that the CEC had several decades to portray her as a villain can’t be overstated either. The Dems need a fresh face to run in 2020. Not a Warren or Biden or Sanders, who the CEC has been villifying for years now.

True, that probably contributed to the result.

Absolutely not. That’s a bad reason not to vote for someone.

Yeah. If the Democrats nominate someone in the hope that conservative media and Trump won’t spend months spreading lies and misinformation about them, they are in for a rude awakening.

All this “moderate” rhetoric is just an excuse to lecture people on why they shouldn’t vote for Sanders or Warren.

I’m talking about electability. That enters the equation when selecting a candidate to support.

We saw how well that worked out the last time.

What was the “electibility” of Donald Trump?

He won.

Exactly, the question was about how people judged the “electibility” of Trump before he won.
