I’m just curious. I went through something similar when I married my wife.
It was important to both of us to have the wedding in her hometown but as a result she could not return with me to the States immediately. She had to wait for 3 months to get her green card before she was able to join me.
She has since become a naturalized citizen. We’ve been married for 34 years.

That’s too bad that she had to wait so long… There are so many silly regs etc. in the process that make no sense.
I swear gov bureaucrats sit behind desk and make crap up just or something to do.

Yeah, being a newly wed and having to be without your spouse for 3 months really sucks.

Nope. Any proof you bring was created last Thursday.

I can imagine. There were many times during the process that I think it was more about just paying the fees and not so much the process needing to be done. And there is a form and fee for EVERYTHING.
Good grief.

I am assuming she was on a k1 or marriage visa? If so she can apply for an advanced parole to travel. I can’t remember the name of it but the only stipulation is you have to have already applied for a green card. I think when you apply for your green card there is a section were you can also apply for traveling outside of the U.S. which is usually granted way before your interview date.
If I misread your situation, ignore the post

I hope all is well with you and your daughter now. Sneaky is right, foster parents are amazing.

I think that’s awesome. How wonderful she is in a good home with those who love her.

I’m sure that’s true. I know of people who adopted kids from Romania and China, and they have said the same thing.

I don’t recall all of the particulars. She was here on vacation when I met her. She was spending the summer at my cousin’s and I met here at a Sunday dinner at my parent’s house.
We were married at the Tampere Cathedral in Tampere Finland in 1984, it was pretty amazing.

The physics is theory.

No. Just theory. White lab coats don’t impress me.

“You’re right” would have been more succinct.

“Just theory” follows that it was empirically tested and supported over and over and over. That’s how science works. They aren’t there to impress you. Their purpose is to better understand natural phenomena.
