The Democrat-run cities have a bit of a dilemma.

If they say that the slogans on the pavement are a government announcement, then they raise troubling questions about the government only saying that the lives of people with a particular skin color matter.

If they say they are not government supported, then logically the pavement should be a public forum that is open to wide range of messages under the First Amendment.

If you want a “White Lives Matter” mural, you’re welcome to lobby your local politicians. I wouldn’t hold out much hope though.

It is not clear who paid for it, although it is clear that the city government supported it.

If the pavement is a public forum that other groups should be free to post their messages. That is the point of the law suit in DC.
