Conservative CRT: CRT is a Marxist plot to overthrow capitalism, private property, individual freedom and federalism while subjugating and demonizing whites and shaming the United States as a racist country.

The American Legion did the same thing with Harold Rugg and the progressive education movement. The John Birch Society did it with sex education and the Equal Rights Amendment. This is continuing along those lines by current day conservatives.

Textbooks aren’t typically written by a dude and his wife and that’s it. There are committees, vetting, etc.

Now there is a wealth of literature on the subject and some disciples have decided to claim at least one if them as “The Text”. That’s fine, but it’s not a “textbook”.

It’s not a bad choice, as long as the professor/teacher clearly identifies it as biased with an agenda.
