And that subway (7 line) goes nowhere near where she lived in the other (smaller) portion of her district (in another borough). To get from point A to point B; with transfers, would take over 1-1/2 hours as opposed to a 15 -20 minute car ride across the bridge.

Lib here. BillBrown has a point. If she’s got to get to a meeting, then a car is her only option. Otherwise, she should walk the walk, especially when she’s kind of setting herself up as a spokesperson for a movement. Again, see Jerry Brown.

And it’s REALLY foolish, optics-wise, to utilize Uber so much after carping on how they’re hurting taxi drivers.

You can’t hail a yellow cab in Queens. Yellow cabs are found almost exclusively in Manhattan.

Cabbies don’t want to drive to the outer boroughs because they can’t always find a return trip.

There are times it makes sense to take the subway, especially if you’re going into, or are already in, the City (Manhattan).

Getting around the outer boroughs isn’t as easy. Most of the subway lines feed into the City, few go between the outer boroughs.
