Agreed. I’d also add that sometimes one might not be in the mood to walk. There is also weather. Convenience. Lots of factors exist where one might not take the “greenest” mode. I personally don’t think that is hypocrisy.

- You asked BillBrown to provide you with a link that AOC said the world would end in 12 years. He did.
- Your response is to dismiss that link with a wave of your hand, declaring hyperbole.
- When asked to actually provide some sort of counter evidence that would legitimize your declaration, you couldn’t bother (or, I’d wager, aren’t able) to provide any evidence for your spin.
- Instead, you chose to go down the logically fallacious route and appeal to incredulity.
- You then proceed to act like you are in the superior position by doubling down on an appeal to incredulity as though you made some sort of point or valid argument. Just because it beggars your belief that AOC could believe that world would come to an end in 12 years, doesn’t mean it isn’t possible. Likewise, just because it beggars your belief that people would think she was being serious instead of hyperbolic, doesn’t mean they aren’t right. The conclusion doesn’t follow. Your incredulity and appeals to “common sense” and “fact” aren’t arguments. They’re weak assertions.
That said, I actually have a reason to think she may just be serious, both because of the evidence we see in the video BB posted AND little tidbits like this:
