It has been talked about in local news here for a while that when the outbreak was still just in Wuhan that business in Chinatown and in Flushing Queens was in decline.
She is hyperbolic, but this didn’t come out of nowhere.

Yeah this is crazy talk, Italy is locked down as a country and as a result nobody is going to Olive Garden anymore, or any Italian restaurants.

You’d need to compare it to all restaurants within a certain geography. Until then, it is just gossip.
