I’ve been to quite a few different countries and what you find is that many people in those countries speak some degree of English.

Says the attorney…

Ko-wrekt

without a college degree you couldn’t practice your trade.

Or am I forgetting something? Did you later tell me you aren’t a real attorney? That’s just a title you assumed? I remember having a really fun conversation with you a couple of times, but now I forget the final word.

Yet I do.

No, I didn’t tell you that.

I’m sorry, I’m forgetting the conversation.

So you are an attorney?

No. I am a lawyer in my society.

And a judge in a sub-society.

That’s what is was…I am dying to know what that really means.

Can you please be less cryptic?

Did you go to law school? What is your society? Is it like a commune? And the sub-society you are a judge in…well, what does that even mean?

So what?

Wait…I got it…you’re talking about this forum, aren’t you? Because now you are a mod. Mod=judge…

Did I crack the code?

Is Sneaky an attorney? I did not know that.

Perhaps like me, he is also a cosmonaut.

No. And now you’re bringing up mod in a discussion forum. TOS tsk, tsk.

There is nothing about me anything like you.

But now you flatter me.

I’m really just asking a poster with whom I have converted for literally years on a forum about his profession and curious to know the truth.

It is not my profession. I would suggest you not do it again.

It’s like Creskin sometimes.

Ok have a nice night, I’m going for an evening hike to check out the stars.

Gosh. I used to to do that in my mountaineering days in Colorado. Even until my 60s. Envious.

PS: In 1973 I climbed Denali. No stars. Here is my favorite quote of all time. It regards the the ill-fated Wilcox expedition to Mt. McKinley (Denali) in 1967.

“There were nights when the hushed earth glowed under the fire of a midnight sun, and days when death rode the wind.”

I’ve had two professions in my life. After 34 years in my second profession, my first profession is still rewarding.
