Use of race/ethnicity/gender as factors in the admission selection process to achieve diversity. Every school that uses these factors has target goals for each race/ethnicity/gender that they award additional points to for being a member.

Let’s assume they OKR that states

“Meet admissions target goal of 13% for African Americans for 2023”

That means 87% of admissions are for all other races.

How would a new applicant have a better chance selecting for 13% Rather than the other 87%?

Why do they have a goal of 13% for African Americans? It is because if no separate goal is set, and nonracial standards such as test scores are used solely, it is expected less than 13% of admissions would be African American. Therefore, if your test score is not high enough to gain you admission under the 87% other category, it may still be high enough to get you admitted under the 13% group.
And that is why students would see benefits in lying about their race.

That doesn’t prove anything. How many Black applied that met the Standart but did not get selected. Or what was the percentage of blacks selected of the Black’s who applied?

Also if 50% white were selected that makes 50% POC were selected.
