It’s not about not following federal law. States do not have jurisdiction to enforce federal immigration law. Federal government cannot commandeer state and local law enforcement officers. Federal government cannot force state and local officials to violate due process.

Yeah, you definitely don’t understand the issue at hand given your faulty logic in this post.

I mean, it was kind of obvious that this was never going to fly. Don’t get me wrong, the feds can pressure states into doing things by theatening to cut off federal subsidies or whatever, but you can’t force states to enforce their own laws. It’s concurrent jurisdiction.

Another strict constitutionalist chimes in with her support for the idea that states and localities ought to give in to federal coercion even in areas where the feds have no authority.

It warms my heart to see people remain true to their core values.

Lol.

They are.

You don’t think they are

SCOTUS however disagrees with you.

Allan

They don’t announce it publicly save to set up the rules governing how they will act.

You should really read up on what sanctuary laws are all about and how they’re actually safer with less chance of anyone’s civil rights being violated…including illegals’.

Yes- they have civil rights under our Constitution whether you want to believe it or accept it or not.
