Imho a message is being sent loud and clear…
Don’t you dare disagree with the Democrats …
Maybe this is what ole’ Joey from Scranton meant with that “nobody ■■■■■ with a Biden” comment.
Anyway I ve made my points…have a lovely day.

Can’t recall anyone here supporting the Taylor shoot on the right.

There were people who rationalized it.

Thanks for the response. I guess I see the Heritage Foundation’s point, but I’d argue that the fact that Houck was arrested at all is more a signal to pro-life activists than the way he was arrested. Houck was involved in an altercation outside of an abortion clinic, Vaughn was part of a group that blocked access to a medical facility. The DOJ seems to be making a point and is looking into past cases involving altercations around abortion providers. THAT is more of a sign, IMO, than the way these men were arrested. You don’t get the arrest without the DOJ prioritizing these cases.

Their prior arrest history and personal stories can become factors in the sentencing portion of the trial, if it gets that far.
Also, don’t take pictures of yourself doing the crime.

… or don’t do crimes. The 11 individuals who were arrested appeared to know exactly what they were doing and what the outcome might be.

dont do the crime, if you cant do the time.
civil disobedience has a price.
every protestor who violates federal law knows the deal.
arrest is possible.

It’s funny how words can be twisted.
I guess you can call shoving a guy who’s harassing your son an altercation…in reality the alleged “altercation” was so inconsequential that no local charges were filed and the gentleman he pushed lost (didn’t even show up ) his civil suit. He was out on the sidewalk praying anyone who wanted to get to that clinic got in…no problem.
You guys are all excited about “the Face Act”…none of us had ever heard of the Face Act three months ago.
If local authorities had no interest in charges a year and a half ago why should we see the feds sudden response after the Dobbs decision and before an election as anything other than government intimidation of private citizens.
Enforcing the law…absolutely…
Government using law enforcement as a the National thought police …hell no.
Sorry but I think that’s what these needless shows of force are all about.
It doesn’t take a massive showing of Kevlar wearing automatic weapon toting federal agents to take I e man into custody who has no criminal history and no history of ever having a run in with the law.

i have been on the side of protesting all my life, i however am a law abiding protestor, i do not wish to be arrested or convicted of any crime. civil disobedience has never been my thing.
see the difference.

Actually civil disobedience by default means doing something that will lead one to be arrested for a crime.

I understand nuance is lost on some, but people weren’t ready to crucify the police.
They just wanted them to stop shooting people.

exactly. violated the FACE act.
locals gave a slap on the wrist.
it was up to the feds to enforce the law.
20-30 officers … guns drawn.
Get real Alan.

It’s ridiculous…
Don’t tell me the cops were evil and now rationalize that level of needless excessive force.
oh i am real, bet protesters at abortion clinics will perhaps think twice before breaking federal law.
i never thought i would see the day were republicans were mollycoddling criminals.
all arrested and indicted will have their day in court
where once again they will gin up pro lifer sediment about being poor victims abused by the feds.

20-30 officers … guns drawn … to take down an abortion clinic protester … while playing with his children.

JayJay:
You’ve already been asked why there should be arrests already for Jane’s Revenge attacks when it took over a year for the government to make these arrests about which they knew a lot more.
And protests are fine…blocking access to clinics is not.
You might not like the law, but it’s the law.
And if you’re going to protest by blocking clinics…be prepared to face the music for it.
Until the law gets changed.
Exactly why the ■■■■ does the FBI need to get involved in abortion? Is this the case for ALL businesses? If not, why the special carve out for abortion? Why can’t local law enforcement deal with this?
