It might not be their fault. The Capitol Police say that they were not informed. I will be interested to see what the DOD says. Anyway you cut it, this was a major communication ■■■■ up.

Of course Pelosi used it as an excuse to invoke “Jan 6”.

That quote tells quite a story. Jan 6th scared them really, really badly.

This incident does show how woefully inept and dangerous the Capitol PD are.

I don’t disagree. I’m looking at it a bit more deeply. They’ve always had scorn for the commoner, but Jan 6th truly terrorized them.
Watch what they do now, the recommendations out of this committee.
They already turn the capitol building into a castle at the slightest rumor.
They are traumatized.
I laughed when AOC talked about PTSD, but they have it.
