fist line of the article:
A man with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) has died from COVID-19 after contracting the virus from his unvaccinated caregiver.
I work for a group of hospitals and that’s for the entire group.
My point was that it’s not just 1 person every now and then. You comment all the time about how safe you are from getting really sick because you are vaccinated. You have to be really sick to have to be hospitalized for Covid and 1 in 5 in my hospital group are fully vaccinated.
Some may die, I don’t know. I get an email from our COO every week with all our numbers. They don’t differentiate the deaths in this particular update.
Yeah and the patient was vaccinated. So it shouldn’t matter who he came into contact with

Huh? If you have a severe condition like als you really, really don’t want to get Covid. Vaccinated people are way way less likely to have and spread Covid. It would be in your best interest only to make contact with vaccinated people. It lowers the chances of contracting Covid considerbaly.
Still a small minority compared to the 80% in the hospital who are unvaxxed.
Allan
Vaccinated are still spreading covid. So the narrative becomes the unvaccinated prevents the vaccine to work.

No. Unvaccinated spread Covid much, much, much more frequently.

An unvaccinated caretaker transmitted the virus to someone in their care and they died.
It isn’t too hard to understand why the guy died.

At a much much much much much much lower rate than the unvaccinated.
The caretaker who did not get vaccinated, killed a vulnerable person in their care.
The caregiver could have gotten Covid from him as well. He could have gotten it from a vax person who never even knew they had it.

Unvaccinated people are far more likely to become infected and transmit the virus than the vaccinated.
So someone in the role of caretaker not taking the precautions of protecting the people in their care is really terrible at their job.
So for the last 2 years the people who have been caring for all the Covid patients are terrible at their job.
And no one is speaking to what is more or less likely.
The truth is is could go either way.

If there is a vaccine that exists that greatly reduces the chances of being infected and thus passing on a virus that would be at great risk to someone with ALS and that vaccine is refused… then yes… you are bad at your job.

Sounds like the vaccine might not be so effective if all it can do is protect a person from other vaccinated people.

If that was the case then the vaccinated wouldn’t be required to use a mask. Back when our last wave spiked.

It is effective, but it isn’t 100%.
Especially when it comes to someone with ALS.
Any caretaker who refuses to get vaccinated against a disease that could likely kill someone in their care sucks at their job.
For my understanding, the vaccines are a four-shot series. I looked into my patient portal and it has 3/4 shots until completed.

They’ll give you an attachment.
You just stated the vaccine isn’t 100 percent effective but still will blame the unvaccinated. People are really tired of this rhetoric.

Yes I blame the unvacciinated caregiver for not taking the steps to greatly mitigate the risk of getting infected and passing on a virus that would likely bring serious harm or death to someone under their care with ALS
They really suck at their job.
