Annexation by force (Greenland)

What if they don’t want the money? Polls are consistent that the majority aren’t interested.

I disagree with this policy. I don’t think we need Greenland by force or negotiation. I was hoping that he would just let it go.

I want Greenland to become 'Murica also, and I’ll bet 10th MTN never goes in to take it by force when it happens.

I totally get the fun of this btw. Like a game of risk.

It always does with the President. It’s on purpose. The real goal is something completely different. Like duh

He is correct that Greenland is vital to US security interests and Denmark cannot provide that security.

the united states already has a base there (Pituffik Space Base) and could have more if they wanted.

just negotiate with denmark like they did in 1951.

Is that good or bad IYO.

I read the article and it was interesting.

“Telemetry, tracking, missile intercepts, early warning systems and Northern latitude launch sites are all part of America’s Arctic past, present and future. Greenland is key.”

The Arctic location could also be strategic for military defense and surveillance — which is partly why Chinese companies seek a foothold, too.

This is what Trump has been saying was his reasoning and I can’t argue with the logic but it must be done agreeably for my full support.

The only way Greenland should be acquired by the US is if Greenlanders vote to be independent from Denmark and then vote to start negotiations with the US.

But that does not mean the US takes it by force. No one is arguing how critical Greenland is but taking it by force is not going to end well for the US or anyone.

MAGAs have this strange idea that there’s nowhere on earth anywhere would rather live than the United States.

And how could anyone reject being offered to be a part of our glorious nation?

I’ve been to many countries around the globe and without question, I am glad to be here in the US vs anyplace else I’ve visited.

Yeah we already have a base there…it’s called Thule.

Somehow if functions just fine, doing precisely all the things Trump wants to be done from a base there.

Even though we don’t own Greenland, Thule still works.

Imagine that!

And you really think a NATO nation like Denmark would allow China to build a military base in Greenland?

That’s nice for you.

Not everyone in the rest of the world agrees.
