Andrew McCabe: 25th Amendment was discussed by Justice Department to remove Trump from office

Wrong, no oversight from Congress, these people are corrupt.

Never left, but thanks.

A coup does not require storming the gates of anything. Life is not a movie.

Some of y’all need to go read Section 4 of the 25th.

Did you not understand the dual role of the FBI in law enforcement and national security?

Now, there’s advantages and disadvantages to keeping this the same agency or separate. The British keep them separate, with MI5 swerving the domestic role for counter intelligence but no law enforcement capacity.

Is that the section where the coup happens?

That’s ridiculous.

se·di·tion
Dictionary result for sedition

/səˈdiSH(ə)n/

conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch.

Terms being thrown around without regard to their meaning.

Fits to a T.

:joy:

Good lord, no.

I never figured you one to have much respect towards authorities of the state let alone a monarch…

Sedition!

Not really. They’re working within the legal structure.

That’s what I was wondering. If they were trying to persuade the cabinet members but didn’t have the votes, couldn’t persuade, what action would make them guilty of sedition or was it the act of trying to persuade the cabinet members of invoking the 25th? I mean, unless it was lead by Sessions, we’re talking sedition, correct?

“Sedition” isn’t against the law.

There is a crime called “seditious conspiracy”. It’s codified at 18 U.S.C 2384.

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.

Do you believe that discussing the 25th meets those elements?

Senator Graham has said he will have McCabe and Rosenstein before the Senate to go over exactly what happened. That is the way this should be handled instead of trying to guess.
We need to find out if Rosenstein really did talk to two cabinet members who thought the 25th was applicable. If he did, they need to be brought in to explain why. If they didn’t but the FBI attorney is telling the truth that Rosenstein said they did, then Rosenstein needs to go the way of McCabe.
Its frightening that all of this goes back to a handful of people…McCabe, Strzok, Comey, Rosenstein.
When people say “the FBI suspected x” that is who they are talking about.

Yep. That’s what Dems have been doing for two years now.

There is a legal principle known as deliberative process priviledge.

In very simple terms, the executive branch cannot be made to disclose its deliberate process - they can only be questioned as to what they did - not what they thought about.

No it’s not frightening. There are times when it take a few bold people to stand up and ask the serious questions. These people had serious suspicions that the president of the US was under the undue influence of a foreign power. Good for them.

Any conspiring was against the duly elected President, but (my opinion) not intended to be against the United States as a whole. Even so, it was highly inappropriate and never should have taken place.

Which part the russian angle? Sure its there…you just ignore it because it doesnt fit your narrative
