My dog understands the issue better than you do.

Yes. Apparently you missed this part:
“Gun violence has plagued our city at twice the rate of last year,”

Tulsa is a strange place and has some problems. Always has.

The murders and the rioting are related, but they are not connected.

So was Seattle. Even San Francisco and LA were nice cities once.

Yes, since it was discovered, it has become the haven for urban flight. Now it is probably destined to be as bad as the places those immigrants came from.

It wasn’t meant to be, It’s not a hard concept to grasp. What is different in Portland Oregon between 2019 and 2020. Pandemic & protests. The local government’s anemic response to the looting and rioting has enabled people in Portland to take the law into their own hands with limited consequence. and that is why shootings are up 100+%. As for toreyj01’s contention that Tulsa Oklahoma has 100 shooting deaths a year is wrong, the average over the last 6 years has been closer to 61 than a hundred. Be that as it may, any area that has an increase of that nature is a cause for concern.

Well, try to be a little nicer please.
The Red burbs. The most peaceful places on Earth. The libs hate this fact.

I don’t see any issue here. Those residents voted for Progressive Democrats that aren’t shy about their desires to defund law enforcement, disarm the public, and abolish prisons, so they should they welcome the increased murder rate and violence as a sign that social justice is working.
The beauty of progressive liberal utopia.

Interesting timing.
It was OK when they ran him out of his condo in the summer.

I’m in suburb outside Chicago. Very blue and fairly affluent. No problem here.
I don’t think it’s red or blue as the problem. More about wealth.
How many are suicides and how many are homicides and how many are accidents?
According to Tulsa PD, it’s more like 61 homicides per year, and they really don’t break it down as to manner of death, or if they do it’s buried deeper than I’m interested in looking.

If I lived in Tulsa, I’d be tempted to shoot myself too.
