I learned that back in the early eighties after someone broke my car window to steal a cheap pair of speakers that were less than the value of the damage they did to the car. Stopped locking them after that. Locks and windows aren’t complimentary.

Yep. That’s how it goes…both good and bad. My guess is that criminals simply observe her make laws, then invest in stocks that will prosper, prior to being introduced and do the exact same but at a street level. Crime at the top…crime at the bottom.

How about just enforcing the law and prosecuting criminals?
Repeal the under $950 theft is a misdemeanor and prosecute anything over $300.00 as a felony with more severe penalties the higher dollar amount of the theft.
Minors can go to juvenile detention centers and the parent/parents should be required to pay back the money or be ineligible for any government assistance/taken out of tax returns if not paid.

There is that law and order garbage. Also make sure there are mandatory minimums for simple theft. Three years should do it
