Ammon Bundy (and company) joins the long list of people who have found out it is expensive to falsely disparage other people or institutions

The verdict: a total of $26.5 million in compensatory damages and $26 million in punitive damages.

Ammon Bundy: $6.2 million compensatory, $6.15 million punitive

People’s Rights Network: $5.2M compensatory, $5.2M punitive

Ammon Bundy for Governor: $1.55M compensatory, $1.65M punitive

Diego Rodriguez: $7M compensatory, $6.5M punitive

Freedom Man Press/Freedom Man PAC combined: $6.55M compensatory, $6.5M punitive

St. Luke’s Hospital and certain medical professionals were the plaintiffs in this case. It all revolved around Bundy’s moronic behavior, statements, etc. in regards to a baby who was the grandchild of defendant Rodriguez.

Somehow, I don’t think he has the assets to pay this judgement without delivering up his entire ranch to the hospital.

The obsession continues.

The goal the entire time.

The obsession with … what?

He has nobody but himself to blame.

All he had to do was to keep his big trap shut and he would not be in this mess.

Who can Trump sue over being slandered about Russian collusion…?

I have no respect for lawsuit lawyers.

They were going to take it one way or another.

Looks like he is going to go Branch Davidian.

That should help keep the free spirits in line.

Adam Shiff?
That PO CRAP is still on the gravy train.
Obama?
Clinton?

What do you mean Camp? What’s gonna happen there?
I think he and Alex Johns have their mouth to blame.
I like that Annon fights for what he believes in.
[Don’t know the full story]
He just went the wrong way with this one.
Johns on the other hand completely screwed that one.
Totaly unneeded and stupid.

The feds will raid his ranch in force and do whatever it takes to arrest or destroy him…if he fails to comply.

A…hhhh…I would not do what he did but I feel so sorry for the man.

Do not feel sorry for him. There is always bankruptcy for stuff like this.

I don’t have much compassion for someone who is a bully.

I object to the heavy handed fine and government enforcement.

A couple years in jail or 2 million fine appears to be more inline with causing the disruption he did at a hospital…IMO.

The award wasn’t handed down by the government, it was handed down based on a jury of his peers.

1/2 the award (about 25 million) is for what the jury determined were damages.

Finally, it’s a civil case - “jail time” isn’t something the jury (or judge) could do.

I know he is wrong but I admire the passion he has to fight for what he believes in.
I also agree with your position on this.

I thought they were in the right and supported them during the ranch stand off.

I don’t think they were in the right in the Oregon thing, though I think the federal agents were trigger happy and wrong. No clean hands there.

Since then they’ve let their notoriety go to their heads and turned into kooks.

I’m staunchly on “the right”, live in Idaho, but wouldn’t vote for Bundy if he was the only one running.

I see you feel very strongly about it.
I can agree with most of it.
